About:
A journalist by training, Mehdi Chebil is specialised in editorial photography. Based in Paris, he covers the entire scope of news in France - politics, economics, culture. He is as reliable to do the portrait of a Nobel Prize winner, cover a chaotic Yellow Vest protest, or illustrate an abstract concept.
Besides his regular photojournalism work in France, he regularly travels to Tunisia to pursue a long-term project documenting the state of the North African nation following its 2011 revolution.
Having worked for more than 15 years with various news organisations, including a number of foreign publications, he understands how important is the ability to be a team worker, capture the writer's angle, and to meet deadlines.
The "portfolio" page of this website shows recent editorial works. His professional ethics focus on producing reliable and honest reporting. He mostly stays out of social media but will travel to meet editors and colleagues face to face.
His work is distributed in France by the Hans Lucas studio and the Polaris Images agency abroad.
